Caring for Dental Implants So They Last

By Tim Klinis MKG3 min read

Consistent care determines how long an implant lasts. Just like natural teeth, the area around an implant can accumulate plaque that triggers inflammation.

Daily hygiene

  1. Brush twice a day with a soft-bristled brush.
  2. Use implant-specific floss or an interdental brush around the implant.
  3. Avoid chewing hard objects such as ice or pens.

Routine check-ups

Schedule regular examinations so the dentist can assess tissue condition and implant stability at an early stage.
